Chester Pride runs an annual Pride festival alongside social groups, workshops and community activities across Chester, Cheshire and North Wales. It also provides a support helpline, a library and free sexual and menstrual products, alongside wider work on issues facing LGBTQIA+ communities in the area.
Its social groups include Out and About, a monthly meetup for LGBTQIA+ adults aged 18 and over, and Trans Social, a monthly group for trans, non-binary and gender-diverse adults. A Trans Youth Group, run in partnership with Mermaids, offers monthly sessions for trans and gender-diverse young people and guidance for parents and guardians.
Chester Pride is a registered charity that has grown since 2013 from a small local event into a larger community organisation supporting thousands of people each year.
