Hart Gables promotes equality and diversity, advances education and works to eliminate discrimination faced by gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. Its work focuses particularly, but not exclusively, on people living in and around the North East.

The organisation offers one-to-one support, family support and groups in a safe, confidential space for people working through their own issues and experiences. It also provides referral services for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Through a project called LGBT Advance, Hart Gables delivers training and consultancy to public, private and voluntary sector organisations across the North East, a service it has run since 2018.

About
