Get to know this service
LGBT Out in the Bay is a charity working with LGBTQIA+ people and young adults in the Lancaster and Morecambe district. It also supports people who misuse drugs and alcohol, and those living with long-term sexual health conditions.
Its activities include training, support groups, community events and outreach, along with one-to-one support and peer support groups. It offers substance misuse support and equality and diversity awareness training, including training for volunteers.
Staff and volunteers bring their own lived experience, which the charity says helps it understand challenges faced by its community. Lancaster and Morecambe each host their own Pride festivals, which the charity highlights as growing year on year.
