Get to know this service
Out North East promotes equality, wellbeing and community connection for LGBTQIA+ people and allies across the North East of England. Its work is delivered from the ONE Centre in Gateshead, a dedicated LGBTQIA+ community centre offering free activities, social groups, workshops and wellbeing sessions.
The organisation also runs Pride Radio, an award-winning LGBTQIA+ radio station broadcasting across the North East and beyond. It shares music, conversation and community stories, and gives airtime support to other charities and campaigns.
Out North East delivers outreach, community projects, events and awareness training across the region, including Together as ONE training for staff and volunteers. It also offers the Roots of Pride Story Suitcase, an educational resource exploring LGBTQIA+ history for schools, colleges and youth groups.
