Get to know this service

Proud2Be is a grassroots, queer-led social enterprise that supports and enables LGBTQIA+ people in Devon and beyond to be free, safe and proud to be themselves. It runs regular in-person and online peer support groups and one-to-one support sessions for adults and young people.

The organisation hosts community events and runs and supports campaigns on social issues important to it. It also offers team training for other organisations, tailored to their needs.

Proud2Be was founded in 2011 by twins Max and Maya Price. It launched a monthly social event in Totnes in 2012, then the first Totnes Pride in 2013, which it hosted until 2022. A youth group opened in 2015, and training and awareness sessions have been delivered across the South West and online.
