Big Gay Out UK is a non-profit community interest company for gay, bi, trans and queer men in London. It offers a low-stakes space for ordinary shared activities, such as hikes, theatre trips, life drawing and relaxed pub socials.
The group focuses on connection, mental wellbeing and reducing isolation, aiming to help members build genuine friendships away from nightlife and dating apps. It runs one to three events each week, including brunches, hikes, drag nights, fitness classes and talks.
New members are introduced beforehand and can use a Buddy Scheme if attending alone feels daunting. Membership fees and ticket income go back into venues and wellbeing initiatives rather than to shareholders.
