Get to know this service

London Gay Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1996 and is run by its own members, who choose the music they play through a repertoire committee. It performs five concerts a year and aims to develop the talents of all its members.

The orchestra describes itself as a safe and supportive space for musicians of all sexualities and gender identities, open to players of all abilities. It has an active membership of more than 100 people and acts as a social group as well as a musical one.

It is a registered charity and supports other causes by offering a platform and a collection at its concerts. Causes it has supported include Opening Doors London, The Food Chain, Galop and the Albert Kennedy Trust, among others.

About

London Gay Symphony Orchestra is a charity and the oldest LGBTQIA+ orchestra in the UK, welcoming members of any sexuality.
