Get to know this service
Sing Out Bristol is an open, diverse community choir that welcomes LGBTQIA+ people alongside singers from the wider community. Founded in 2008 and based in the South West, it is described as the region's largest LGBTQIA+ choir, with around 100 members.
The choir performs at concerts, charitable events and LGBTQIA+ choir festivals in the Bristol area, across the UK and in Europe. It has performed at Bristol Pride every year since it began in 2010, alongside venues such as shopping centres, cinemas, churches, prisons, hospitals and railway stations.
The choir holds regular meet-ups and welcomes new members three times a year, sharing updates through a mailing list and news feed. It has also sung at same-sex weddings and other private events, including an annual LGBTQIA+ Writers Awards Dinner.
