Get to know this service
Stockport Pride works to promote equality and diversity, particularly tackling discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity, for people living in Stockport and the surrounding areas.
The organisation holds an annual event at Stockport's Market Place, celebrating the local LGBTQIA+ community with a parade, stage performances, stalls and family spaces. Stockport Pride 2026 takes place on Sunday 26 July 2026.
The parade is open to walkers, wheelchair users and mobility scooters, with a set route through the town centre finishing at the Market Place. Stalls at the event include local charities, community groups, crafts, clothing, food and drink.
